HERE ARE THE RESULTS!
Wanrong 3-1 SMU
For wanrong a job really well done, i can see that you really discipline yourself to every single shot. Easy ball also aim, diamond system also aim, preshot routine and all. All of you should really learn from this girl! Really a BIG A for effort!!! and the win LOL
Jun wen 1-5 SMU
For Jun wen, you really need to train on your consistency, cause there are quite a few shots that were relatively easy and you miss, this one really have to go practice. You see what i mean? you miss you opponent gonna punish you real hard! Even though you lose to like a year 2 or something? I believe you still could have done better! nevermind work harder now, never too late!
Weiting and Kwok onn 1-4 SMU
I see like you all like quite nervous leh, then like never really communicate as much as how a doubles pair should do. Must communicate more next time!!! I believe you guys could have done better than this!
Kwok onn 5-0 SMU
All i can say well fucking done GINAH! espeicially your last shot! sibeh thin cut you also dare to cut nnb, this guy really ballsy arh, even me and aron wan down there say wah this type play safety one leh. BUT YOU STILL GOT A FEW MISTAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!! So then get to complacent ok?!?!?!
Weiting 3-0 SMU
Well done for winning the guy! You did Gabriel proud most importantly! At least he teach you the things never go to waste! And you still got a long long way to go, so work even harder!
Alvin 3-5 SMU
Eh alvin, don't be disappointed larh really. At least you one thing good, after the game you tell me your mistakes and all. You at least have the courage to face up to them even though you lost which is a very good thing! :) So just go practice on your mistakes and i really believe you will come back way stronger!
For those year 1s who went down to support like junyang, azree and azkhairy. Besides looking at mens team and sharik train, i really hope from this friendly you guys really learn a thing or two ok? I know you guys are disapointed that you all never play today, but this shows that if you are going to make simple mistakes is going to come down hard on you. Like what happen in the selections on wednesday.
So people please pull up your socks even more as i will really try to organise more friendlies.
And anyway, to be honest, the national day 8 ball is really a good stepping stone for you all, so really please go and join it. Thanks!

Monday; Everyone happy, motivated and most importantly, confident, that we'll defend our title. Six games, that's what we needed. But by the end of the match on Thursday, many left IcePool blaming themselves, claiming how close we were to winning. Losing games which resulted in hill-hill endings, flukes, mistakes, you name it. Year Ones, I know how you feel, 'cause I'm one too. And if seniors are looking at this like, "WhatTheFaaah?!" chill, AhMok asked me to update the blog! Okay, let's not digress, back to the after-thoughts.
First of all, it's a team event after all. No individual is to be blamed for the lost, our lost. If you think that you're lousy, what are you waiting for? TRAIN harder! Don't just keep missing a shot a thousand times, and go, "Walaooo, I damn lousy sia" without even trying to improve. There'll definitely be a senior willing to help, I'm sure all you gotta' do is ask! I quote Daniel, "". I'm guilty of it too, I admit it. But hey, it's about time for a change right? I remember Seniors saying that we shouldn't keep playing 9-ball with ourselves, but train our strokes, spins, drills, and more instead. So let's make training more effective, and TRAIN together, as a team!
I'm in no authority to pick on each individual's mistakes, so regarding the issue, just ask the seniors that watched your matches for help. For now, I'll just write about the general mistakes that we made. Some of the mistakes that I'm typing are my own, that's quite common amongst us during the Friendly.
From what I've learnt from the friendly, take your time at for every shot! Don't rush, breatheee! Do your pre-shot routines and relax! Seniors have adviced us to chill, have fun. IT HELPS. Never give up! Even if you're like losing 3-1, it's possible to fight back. Don't beat yourself down. Like if you miss a shot, don't go whacking your cue on the table (like what I did on the first day). Don't say like, "Waaa, I damn lousy today la". Don't be angry at yourself. Have a CLEAR mind, a positive mind set; Plan your game, own the rack.
And if you've finished or waiting for your game, motivate your team members that's fighting with you! Being there for them is good, motivating them on the other hand, is great! The simplest words can calm their worst nerves down. What have you got to lose anyway? It's a team event; fight together, motivate one another and (hopefullyintwomonthstime) WIN TOGETHER.
Like what Sam said, losing is alright. Know your mistakes, learn from it and never repeat them during future friendlies, future tournaments. Personally, I suggest doing an After-Action-Review, like jot down your mistakes, your good points, what you can improve on. It'll remind you what to train for if you get a table. (It's just my suggestion!) Should you find yourself unable to perform under pressure, join tournaments then! The SPGG National Day 8-Ball Challenge is coming up. I'm sure it'll be a good experience for us. I've signed up already, and to those interested, the forms are available at the front desk.
If you know you're travelling in the wrong direction, don't just whine and continue walking. Turn back, and fix you.
It was a close fight, I wouldn't say we got thrashed. Twelve-Fourteen; That's our score for The Friendly in July. Two months down the road, what do you want to hear? Come on Year Ones, two more months is all we have to the next friendly. We all had our chances during our matches. In September, we'll get another; Let's grab the opportunity! Our cupboard's missing an item, let's claim it back as a team and train harder, togther! Let's go, FIGHTFIGHTFIGHT! :D
-azkhairy
Labels: 6 MORE GAMES TILL WE SECURE THE PLAGUE AGAIN
To azkhairy & hairy. You had your chances. If you dont make use of it then I'm sad to say you will lose the game.
Labels: i am on the way to Victoria Island
As you all know, we will be defending not only our runs in friendlies, we will also be defending the plauge! So all hope rests on all of you to play your best tomorrow! Tomorrow no matter what happens arh, like let say you losing, don't give black face don't like give sour grape mentality larh.
After the game shake hand with your opponent, whether you win or not, like courtesy like that, cause i'm sure all of you will want your opponent to respect you also right?
I am not requesting much larh, all of you just try to win all of your games will do arh?
If i'm not wrong, for members (38.40+)
For guest, which is like those in the pool team but no SPGG member is (40+)
Guys i know you all might think alamak, cb damn chor sia don't want to go larh. But if you think about it is actually quite cheap, cause you get like i think 100 plus pellets or even more, that i'm not sure. And if you guys like safe money from now till 30th, like everyday save about 2dollar can go already.
Take it like also a team bonding session like that larh, instead of chalet or playing pool, now you shooting PAINBALLS at the people you don't like. Like knn, you don't like me, just shoot at me all you want, i don't care. haha
So i need the reply latest next wed, on who is going, just drop me a text, so that i can tell ash, who are the ones going.
By the way this is ahquek thanks
THIS IS NOW UR CAPTAIN SPEAKING!!!! Just to add on, these are a few words being added to you guys by me. NNBCCB!!! you think you all very good arh, say don't want play don't want play, knn, if you guys don't wanna play so be it, they are alot more people who are willing to take your places. Like i said before, got friendly, got tournament just join and play, no such thing as no larh i don't want.
Ok larh, firstly, we choose people base on credit and merit, to play in the friendly, so you yourself should be happy and proud of urself that we are choosing you guys to play for the TEAM! Secondly, if you say you don't want play, and is some lame fuck reason, this just proves and shows something, you don't give two fucks about this team at all, and you are just playing pool for the sake of playing, without any passion at all.
Not only that, you guys wanna be useless bitches arh? chee bye, don't want play friendly all that. Put it bluntly and simply, you join our team firstly to learn and play well. secondly is to gain that competitive edge over others. So is like you train so hard for fuck? If at the end of the day, you don't want to play competitively at all? IS LIKE YOU GUYS ARE LIKE WONDERING SOULS WITH NO FUCKING AIM AT ALL!!
anyway, that's about what i wanna tell you guys, hope this could wake all of you up from your dreamland, or your own world. To those who readily said you wanna play and we think you 100% deserve it, we already put your name there, except for EINSTEIN( that is why we put a pending there). I salute you guys who said you wanna play, it shows you know what you want out of your whole three years in the team.
And to those who think you wanna play, just come down on saturday, i will be there at about 3? ( see i so good sacrifice my saturday if not knn, limbei want to go grind girl at PHUTURE ONE LEH!!!!!!!!!!)
YOU RATHER DIE FIGHTING, THEN LET DEATH TAKE YOU AWAY
so thanks, remember pass coaching fee to sam, and 20 bucks to me for those who go to chalet.
Thanks,
handsome frog prince here
